Many people picture a big office full of roofers. The truth is simpler. Islamlike Roofing does not employ roofers. When you reach out, your request goes to an independent local provider in our network. That provider is the one who speaks with you, visits your roof and does the work.

What happens next

Here is the usual order of events.

• You send a request or call. Call hours vary by provider, so Request a callback to check provider availability.
• Your details go to a provider that serves your area.
• The provider contacts you to talk through the roof and set a time to look at it.
• You get a written quote. Then you decide.

Mind the clock. If you see active leaks, sagging or missing shingles, say so right away. Many providers can respond quickly, but timing depends on the provider and the weather.

What to ask a provider

A lot of homeowners think the smallest number on a quote makes it the safest pick. In practice, the details matter more. Ask these questions.

• Are you licensed and insured in my state? Can I see proof?
• What exactly does the quote include? Tear-off, underlayment, flashing, cleanup?
• What materials will you use, and who makes them?
• How do you handle older homes with layers of old roofing?
• Who is on the roof, your own crew or subcontractors?
• What warranty comes from the manufacturer, and what comes from you?
• Can you help document storm damage for an insurance claim?

You are in control

You can ask for more than one quote. You can say no. You can take a day to think. There is no obligation. Never feel pressured to sign on the spot, and be careful with anyone who asks for the full payment up front.
